If you leave the esrog long enough, the seeds will start to germinate while still inside the fruit. This particular esrog was a Greek esrog from the Skverer Rebbe.

I live in Israel & planted an etrog tree which turned out to be a Yemenite Etrog tree. It got diseased & we replaced it with another tree that is struggling. My gardener really doesn’t know how to take care of it and since I really don’t know much Hebrew I can’t deal w/ any of the Heb. websites.
If you have any hints etc. I would really appreciate it.
